While the fire still burns in the mountains surrounding the Los Alamos area, a few weeks ago, BZ skateshop held it's second annual skate contest at the Los Alamos park. I was surprised it wasn't cancelled, as the entire community was evacuated in the weeks earlier. It was a monumental event in the sense that my son Jaxxon entered, and won his first skate contest.
